The Summer Solstice is basically my favorite days of the year. I’ve loved it ever since I was a kid. It’s the longest day of the year, and I love how late it stays light (especially up here in Washington!). When I was young, I knew it was “the longest day of the year” and would carefully plan out my day with as many activities as I could think of. See, I thought it was actually longer. Whereas I’ve wised up since then, I still love the day. I do still try to do something fun (and as late as I can, to enjoy the light). This year, I got to shoot a wedding. And, I got to stay out a bit later than normal. I was still home incredibly early, and well before the sun set, but it was still later than my typical mom-of-a-baby hour.
Katie and Tim are such a fun couple. It’s apparent they are the best of friends. Their story is of a fast love, but a deep love. They didn’t know each other for too long before Tim knew he’d met The One. And as soon as Katie figured it out, they acted on it! Much love and happiness you two!
